The team behind Barbacoa Boyz

You may be surprised to learn there's a lot of "Girl Power" behind the scenes!

I'm a co-owner (the other half) of Barbacoa Boyz. If you've ever visited our Mobile Kitchen, we've likely met! Hi, my name is Christina!

I've been Chef Jamie's taste-testing partner/ride-or-die for over 20 years and couldn't be happier, going through this journey of life, with such an awesome husband and father to our kids.

We've found such joy in working together (most of the time!) probably because we both bring different skills to the table. He brings the pro-chef experience and works with the food, staffing and training, whereas I do the "computer/money" stuff and most of the customer service/front of house organizing.

Sometimes life gets messy and hard, but we both agree that family is our priority and the business we're creating is part of our legacy to them. We're trying to raise our "Boyz" (Leo, 10 and Gus, 7) with the knowledge that family comes first, but we're all hands on deck with this business and it will one day be theirs if they want it.

That being said, we couldn't make it work without a team of great people that have joined us along our journey! (Shout-out to Joel, Walter, Brianna, Bishop, Mehkai, Camden, Christopher and all those friends and family who have pitched in with their own free labour, money and babysitting when we've needed it - you know who you are!)

But we couldn't get away without a very special shout-out to our most serendipitous team member who's been with us from the beginning. That's Dale! Through a very random turn of events, we found each other and he's been a super-star worker and one of our biggest cheerleaders ever since.

Thanks Dale, and everyone else for jumping on the Barbacoa Boyz band-wagon and keeping us sane, focused and hungry to give more back to the community that has welcomed us with open arms.
